A Note From...

We are approaching the end of another successful year for Concordia, with record numbers of NCS graduates, 5 schools engaged in our EWP programme, and almost 10,000 farm participants placed.
Thank you to everyone for this fantastic achievement, you are the reason for all of these successes.
We will be sharing the plans and budgets for 2023 with you shortly, and I hope to see you all at the upcoming social event.
Max starting new role International Volunteer Co-ordinatorÂ
I am very much looking forward to starting my new role as international Volunteering Coordinator with Concordia. I am excited to create and deliver a vision of the International volunteering programme after two years on the back row due to the Covid Pandemic. After working on NCS for the last 5 years, starting at Ingeus in 2017 as NCS programme officer and then moving to Concordia in April 2020, it has been a massive part of my life and I am very proud of the achievements that we have gained delivering the NCS programme. I cant wait to get started and look forward to my future working on the International Volunteering programmes alongside Victor.
Here I am in October 2020 painting the Sussex Clubs for Young People Bentswood Hub as part of their project to rejuvenate the youth club.

80 Years Supporting People Next Year!
Right now Concordia are working on some exciting projects. Following our brand and logo refresh this summer, we are launching a brand new website in December.
As our 80th anniversary approaches, we are busy planning ahead and look forward to sharing some of our historical and special moments as a charity.
We need your help. Please get in touch with Kate, Amanda or Julia to find out more about upcoming events and activities and how you can get involved.
More detail around the events and activities that have been confirmed to take place in our 80th year will be shared with you soon. For now, please do save the date for our formal 80 year commemorative event at The House of Commons – Wednesday 28th June 18.00-22.00. There will be transport provided from the Concordia office to and from London for all employees. This is an exciting opportunity for us to invite our partners to join us to celebrate this important milestone in Concordia’s history.

No, we unfortunately lost our dog last Christmas, but I would love another dog one day soon!
What’s your favourite restaurant in Brighton and Hove?
My favourite restaurant in Hove is Semola and my favourite restaurant in Brighton is Food for Friends!
Name a favourite place you have been on holiday and why?
My favourite place I’ve been is probably Vietnam. The people are so lovely, the scenery is beautiful, and the food is amazing. Although I also loved Cambodia and learning about the history there.
Name a country you would love to visit one day and why?
I would love to visit Canada and learn to ski!
List three bucket list things you would love to do:
Learn to Scuba dive, live in another country for a while, and get my day skipper license 😊
What would you say is one of your greatest achievements?
Probably doing a degree alongside working full time. Although I haven’t completed it yet, I’m proud of managing it so far and getting good results!

Social & Wellbeing
We’re really looking forward to seeing everybody at our Globalls & Pizza Express social on Monday 31st October! We’ve got two rounds of crazy golf booked in so we can make the most of their two courses – Aquatica an under the sea themed golf course & a Jurassic golf course, filled with dinosaurs. You’ll be in teams of 5.
Please note: the first round of golf starts at 11AM, depart the office at 10AM to allow plenty of time to drive there and park.
