The project

This summer, you’ll be helping bring a fresh splash of colour to the heart of the medieval town of Marvejols. The main task is repainting street furniture along a pedestrian shopping street, an activity that supports both local residents and shopkeepers.

Your work will make a real difference during the busy summer period when tourists stroll through the town and local festivals bring the community together. You’ll also have the chance to get involved in activities with the local leisure centre and connect with young people in the area.

This is a great opportunity to be useful while discovering a beautiful place rich in nature, legends, and history.

Accommodation & food

You’ll be camping in individual tents on a municipal field (please bring your own sleeping bag and duvet). A municipal room will be available for group living activities. Meals will be planned, prepared, and cooked by the group. A food budget will be managed by group leaders with a focus on healthy, local, and mostly vegetarian ingredients.

You’ll also share day-to-day tasks like cooking and cleaning to help the group run smoothly.

Location & leisure

Marvejols is a picturesque town in the Lozère region, with around 5,000 residents. It boasts a rich medieval history, small cobbled streets, and stunning natural surroundings.

We will open the doors of the town to help you discover the history, culture and environment of this heritage jewel, known locally as "La Belle du Gévaudan"! You’ll have time to enjoy the outdoors, join in on local cultural events, and experience the town’s festive atmosphere.

Project host

The town of Marvejols is proud of its heritage and committed to opening its doors to international youth. This is their second time hosting a camp for young people aged 15 to 17. You’ll be warmly welcomed by local associations, residents, and young people during town events and everyday moments.
