The project
For five years, Études et Chantiers has welcomed international volunteers to Fosse Maussoin Park, a Natura 2000 classified site thanks to the presence of the Mar Pic. With a breathtaking view of Paris, this shared space features a greenhouse, community gardens, biodiversity areas in permaculture, relaxation zones, and creative spaces. Many installations have been built with the help of volunteers.
Join the project to improve the accessibility and biodiversity of the garden. As a team, you will contribute to:
Creating a green pathway with climbing plants
Building raised garden beds and tables for people with reduced mobility, making the garden accessible to everyone
Designing a sensory garden filled with fragrant plants, visual elements, textures, sounds, and tastes
The project may evolve based on the needs, ideas, and creativity of the group.
Accommodation & food
You will be hosted at La Fontaine aux Images, located near the town hall park and a lake. You will camp near the main marquee and can take part in events organised by the association. The accommodation is a 20-minute walk from the project site.
Outside working hours, volunteers organise daily life together. Divided into teams, you will plan menus, help with the shopping, prepare meals, and maintain shared spaces. You will also be involved in shaping your experience by taking part in decisions about group activities and daily organisation.
Location & leisure
Clichy-sous-Bois offers a rich mix of nature and heritage. You can explore the Bondy Forest, the Fosse Maussoin Park, the Basilica of Saint-Denis, and the banks of the Ourcq Canal.
One full day will be dedicated to discovering Paris, its famous monuments, museums, historic neighbourhoods, and the lively summer atmosphere along the riverbanks.
Project host
Since its early youth workcamps, Études et Chantiers Île-de-France has been using the workcamp approach to bring people together around ecological and social projects. Their goal is to promote ecological transition and encourage the participation of local residents.
