About our programme

The programme offers life-changing opportunities to people from other countries, mainly across Europe to come and support UK farming and experience life in the UK during a 6 month stay.

Our extensive experience, unrivaled knowledge, expertise and focus on ethical and fair recruitment means we have a well established reputation with both UK farms and recruitment agencies abroad.

Our standards are high, both in supporting the farms with getting the team they need, and in ensuring the standard of living for workers coming to the UK.

How do you support seasonal workers?

Concordia has had a strong focus and desire to promote cross cultural experiences and supporting international relations since we were founded during World War II to promote peace and reconciliation.

Some of our participants come from areas affected by war and the Seasonal Workers Programme can be a life-changing opportunity for them.

UK farming relies on extra labour at key times of the year to help the process of getting food and crops from UK farms to shops. Recruiting such large numbers for temporary seasonal work can be challenging.

We are a trusted partner and one of a small number of organisations authorised by government to arrange Seasonal Worker Visas.

We have well established and long running relationships with many UK farms and partner agencies in the countries we recruit from. As a charity our focus is strongly on ensuring the farms get the support they need, as well as ensuring high standards of accommodation and fair pay for workers so they can have a positive experience of the UK before they return home.

In addition to our Seasonal Workers Programme, as we also support young people in the UK experience life abroad through international volunteering.

We believe that by giving people chances to know others from different cultures and backgrounds, it is a crucial part of enabling peace and making the world a better place.

“We would never be able to pick our harvest without participants from Concordia. The responsibility of having young participants on our farm is huge but Concordia’s guidelines and recommendations have helped us give our seasonal employees a high standard of safe accommodation on site. When you call Concordia you find they can’t do enough for you.”
