Who can apply…
This is important
Whilst Concordia want to be as inclusive as possible, not every young person reading this will be eligible to work in the UK - even on a seasonal basis:
Due to UK legislation, we are currently only allowed to take seasonal workers who are within the EU.
Other conditions apply too:
- Applicants should be aged 18 or over
- Applicants must be able to work for the full duration of the stated work placement
- Travel insurance is compulsory for the period of work, either through Concordia membership or by taking out your own policy*
- Applicants should have read and agreed to our terms and conditions
*This needs to cover a minimum level of £2,000,000 personal liability and £50,000 repatriation while you work in the UK.
Are you from Romania or Bulgaria?
The Seasonal Agricultural Workers Scheme (SAWS) allows for the employment of seasonal workers from Bulgaria and Romania using a work card system. Applicants are admitted for a maximum of six months to do seasonal agricultural work.
The scheme is run for the Home Office by Operators who recruit suitable people and place them on farms.
Concordia is one of the largest operators of the SAWS scheme.
To be eligible for employment as a seasonal agricultural worker you must:
- Be 18 years of age or over at the time of starting work on the scheme
- Have Bulgarian or Romanian nationality
- Enter only the employment detailed on your work card
Someone may take part in the scheme more than once. But you must make sure there’s at least a three month break between any period of employment and you abide by the immigration rules each time.
We regret to say that we are unable to take any workers outside SAWS or the European Union. Any applications will be automatically rejected.
