Who are Concordia Singers?

Concordia Singers -
Registered Charity no. 273333

Concordia is a choir of around 40+ sopranos, altos, tenors and basses. We have enjoyed over 40 years of singing, but despite this we are forward-looking and enjoy the challenge of learning new works as well as performing the core repertoire.

Our reputation as an established choir in the Surrey and Sussex area is based on the quality of our performances. We pride ourselves on producing varied musical programmes, working with young professional soloists and orchestras, involvement with other music groups and the community, and performing charitable concerts when we can.

Our members come from a wide area of Surrey and Sussex, and even further afield. Past and planned venues for concerts match this geographical spread, and include The Hawth in Crawley, Dorking Halls, and parish churches in Horsham, Redhill and Crawley.

Varied Programmes

We usually perform three main concerts per year, with other performances and events as and when the opportunities arise. Recent concerts have included works by composers as varied as Bach, Elgar, Carl Orff and Christopher Brown. There’s more information on our concerts page.

Concordia takes pride not only in the quality of its performances, but also in its friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Whether it’s a quick pint after a rehearsal or a choir social, this is important to us. There’s more to joining a choir than just grafting away for concerts!
