So what is it? Well we can see that we need grow the choir and we would love to attempt some more ambitious works but we simply need more people! Our current goal is to double the size of the choir in three years. Quite an ambition but we thought we have to start somewhere.

The Committee is working hard on achieving this so if you feel you can contribute please speak to one of the Committee at Rehearsals or use the Contact Us page

As part of this project we also have the 'Handel Project'. This started off as simply a fantastic concert of Handel's Jephtha. Although it's one of his lesser known works it is an amazing choral piece and we immensely enjoyed performing it. So the plan formed... to perform every single one of Handels oratorios ending with, of course, the Messiah.

To date we have performed four Handel concerts (Jeptha, Joshua, Samson and Judas Maccabaeus) and look forward to performing Solomon in November 2010. To give us some variety we perform the Handel pieces for the November concert and choose something different for the other terms.

At this rate it will take us ten years until we get round to performing the Messiah but we reckon it will be an amazing concert and we look forward to seeing you there.
